US Drug Manufacturer Bringing Jobs To Co Tipperary

Almost 300 new jobs are to be created in Cashel, Co Tipperary, by American drug manufacturer, Amneal.

The company said that the jobs will be created over the "next few years" as it establishes its European base in Co Tipperary.

Amneal have bought the former Johnson and Johnson factory, which closed in 2011.

The investment is being supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

Jobs To Be Lost At Cider Makers
Bulmer's cider factory in Co Tipperary is to shed a substantial number of jobs. Staff have beent told that 140 workers are to lose their jobs at Bulmers facility in Clonmel, Co Tipperary. Although it had increased its workforce just last year, the company is now blaming a fall in cider sales for the lay-offs.

Man Charged With The Murder Of Bobby Ryan
A 49-year-old man is due to appear before Tipperary District Court charged in connection with the murder of Bobby Ryan. Father-of-two Bobby Ryan of Boherlahan, Cashel, Co Tipperary was reported missing to Tipperary Town Gardaí on 3 June 2011. His remains were found concealed in an underground concrete tank on a farm at Fawnagowan, on 30 April 2013.

Appeal Issued For Missing Tipperary Man
Gardaí have appealed for help in tracing missing Tipperary man John Esmonde. The 38-year-old has been missing since around 22:00 on Wednesday 11 March. When last seen he was wearing a dark jacket, blue denim trousers and a black woollen hat. He is believed to have been carrying a brown shopping bag.

Minister Opens North Tipperary Agricultural Show
The North Tipperary Agricultural show has been officially opened in Nenagh, County Tipperary. Speaking at the opening event, the Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Shane McEntee, highlighted the important role that Agricultural shows can play within Irish communities.

Series Of Drug Raids Carried Out By Garda In Two Counties
A series of raids have been carried out by gardaí in Roscrea and Thurles, Co Tipperary and Birr, Co Offaly. Two arrests were made in the Co Tipperary when around 50 gardaí officers raided a number of properties in five different locations. Gardaí say that two men were arrested during the course of the raid for attempting to cause an obstruction.
