Appeal For Witnesses To Serious Road Accident
Gardaí in Carlow have appealed for witnesses to a serious road traffic accident on the M9 motorway on Friday 03 July.
A truck driver, aged in his early 40s, remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital after he was struck by a car.
It is understood that the man was exiting the cab of his truck when he was struck.
The accident happened on the southbound carriage of the M9 motorway between junction 4, Castledermot, Co. Kildare, and junction 5, Tinryland, Co. Carlow, yesterday evening Friday 3rd July, 2015 at approximately 19.30.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone with information to contact Carlow Garda Station 059-9136620, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Gardaí in Carlow have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road crash involving a motorcycle and a construction vehicle. A man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a construction vehicle on the R724 at Ballymoon, near Muine Bheag, at around 20:50 on Sunday night. The 27-year-old victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men have been arrested in connection with a road accident involving a gardaí motorcycle. According to reports a garda officer was injured when his official garda motorcycle collided with a car on Lennox Street at around 14:00 on Wednesday.

Teenager Dies In Co Carlow Farm Accident
A 14-year-old boy has died following an accident on a farm in Co Carlow on Wednesday morning. It is understood that the boy and his 15-year-old brother were both injured when a tractor and trailer combination toppled over in a field on a farm two miles outside the town of Ballon. Both boys were taken to St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny.

A 39-year-old female pedestrian died after being struck by a van on the Moynead Cross to Shanballyduff Cross Road at about 16:10. It is understood the driver of the van, a 55-year-old man, was uninjured.
