Two Men Arrested Over Murder Of Limerick Teenager

Gardaí have arrested two men in connection with the 2007 murder of a teenager from Limerick.

Jeffrey Hannon, 19, from O'Malley Park, was beaten to death with the handle of an axe and his body was left in a field beside his parents' home on 22 November.

Gardaí raided two properties on Tuesday and arrested two men.

One man is being held at Roxboro Road Garda Station and the other is being detained at Henry Street Garda Station.

Man Arrested Over €400,000 Cannabis Find
Cannabis with an estimated value of €400,000 has been seized in Co Donegal. Members of the Revenue and Gardaí uncovered the drugs during a search at Castlefin on Tuesday. Garda arrested a man in his 30s in connection with the find.

Man Arrested Over Cocaine And Ammunition Find
Gardaí in Co Louth have seized a quantity of cocaine and 9mm ammunition following the search of a car. Cocaine worth an estimated €50,000, and a small quantity of ammunition, was uncovered when garda searched the car at about 18:00 in Drogheda on Monday. Officers arrested a man in his 40s in connection with the find.

Two Arrested Following Supermarket Raid
Two men have been arrested following a raid at a supermarket in the Clarehall area in Dublin last night. At around 10.30pm, two men armed with a knife entered the premises on the Malahide Road and threatened two members of staff, before tying them up and attacking them. The pair then left the scene with a sum of cash.
