Pensioner Killed In Dublin Road Collision

A pensioner has been killed in a two-vehicle road crash in Malahide, Dublin, on Wednesday.

The incident occurred on the Dublin Road at around 2pm.

The man, in his 80s, died when the car he was driving was involved in a collision with a second car.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the second car, a man in his 50s, was taken to Beaumont Hospital where his injuries are described as minor.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Man Dies In Overnight Road Crash
A man has died when his car collided with a van on the Rathbeale road in Swords, Dublin, around 02.30am on Wednesday morning. The man in his 40s was a passenger in the van. He died at the scene. The driver of the van and a second passenger are being treated in hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Man Arrested In Connection With Fatal Road Collision
A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal road accident in Dublin on Friday night. A woman, 40, died when she was hit by a car on the Davitt Road, which fled from the scene. The car, believed to be a Ford Focus, has not been found. Gardai believe the car would have been damaged at the front and the windscreen.

Garda Appeal For Witnesses To Fatal Road Accident
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses of a fatal road accident in Co Kerry. A 24-year-old man died when the car he was driving hit a wall on the N69 Tralee-Listowel Road in Glenballyma in Tralee. The accident happened at about 21:45 on Saturday. A post-mortem is due to be carried out today.

A major investigation is underway following the armed kidnapping of a family in north Dublin. The incident occurred this morning, 03 December. At around 5am, a mother and daughter were taken by an armed gang from their home in the Gracefield road/Artane area. They were put into a white/silver VA Caddy with the partial registration number 09-D.

Promising Rugby Player Knocked Down By Off-Duty Garda
The man who died after being knocked-down in the early hours of Sunday was hit by an off-duty garda, it has emerged. Jack Whelan, 23, who has been described as a promising young rugby player, was struck on the Clontarf Road in Dublin at around 6.30am.
