Sinn Féin Launches Bill To Abolish Water Charges

Sinn Féin has launched the Water Services Repeal Bill.

Finance spokesperson Deputy Pearse Doherty said the party is committed to scrapping the charges.

He said: "This is the bill which we will enact in order to do that. We are now seeking a mandate from the people to enact this bill and scrap water charges once and for all.

"It is clear that the government does not have the support of the people for its water charges. This election provides the people with an opportunity to vote the charges out.

"Enda Kenny should call the election and give the people their say on this issue."
