Kerosene Contamination Found In Galway Estate Water Supply

Kerosene contamination has been found in the water supply of a housing estate in Galway city.

Irish Water has advised residents of the Moyola Park not to use the public water supply for drinking, bathing or cooking. Households have also been told to not use dishwashers and to discard any ice cubes made with tap water.

The water company believe that the contamination began last week.

Residents have been told to boil all water before drinking and preparing food.

Tankered water is being made available on the estate.
