Data Protection Firm To Establish New HQs In Galway

Sixty jobs are to be created in Galway with the establishment of new European headquarters of data protection services company, IDT911.

The company provides identity management, fraud monitoring and cyber security services, and will create the new jobs over the next five years.

The company said it has chosen Ireland because of the "pool of available graduates with relevant qualifications and the support provided by State agencies".

It will have its European headquarters at the Galway Technology Centre in the Mervue area of the city.

The announcement has been welcomed by Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton who is in Galway today, Monday, for one of the Government's regional jobs forums.

US Medical Tech Company Announce 60 New Jobs In Galway
Medical technology company ZELTIQ Aesthetics has announced that it is to establish its new European manufacturing facility in Galway. Up to 60 new jobs are expected to be created over the next 18 months. The US-based company, headquartered in Pleasanton, California, employs over 600 people on a worldwide basis.

250 New Jobs For Co Galway
Two hundred and fifty new jobs are to be created in Co Galway by medical devices manufacturer, Zimmer. The company will create the jobs over the next five years as part of an expansion, with a new €51m facility in Oranmore.
