Woman Killed In Cork Road Crash
A woman has died in a road collision in Cork on Wednesday morning.
The crash happened on the R628, Castlelyons to Conna road at approximately 8:30am.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has been removed to the morgue at Cork University Hospital.
The driver of the SUV is currently being treated at Cork University Hospital where his condition is believed to be stable.
The road remains closed and diversions have been put in place.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Man Attacked In East Cork
Gardaí are appealing for information after a man in his 40s was attacked in east Cork on Tuesday. The victim was assaulted at Meat Shambles Lane in Youhal at around 3pm. He is currently being treated at Cork University Hospital, however his injures are not believed to be life-threatening. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
