Four Arrested In Money Lending Investigation

Gardaí investigating unlawful money lending in Co Clare have arrested two men and two women.

Officers said the arrests follow an investigation carried out over several months, following allegations made to them.

Two men, aged 20 and 26, and two women, aged 30 and 32, were arrested on Tuesday morning in Kilrush.

The four will appear before Ennis District Court.

Men Arrested Over €1m Cocaine And Heroin Find
Heroin and cocaine, with an estimated street value of €1m, has been recovered in a house search in Ballyfermot on Tuesday. Gardaí arrested two men, aged in their 30s, at the scene after officers uncovered 13kgs of cocaine worth an estimated €900,000 and 1.5kgs of heroin, with an estimated value of €225,000.

Men Arrested Over Santry Cannabis Seizure
Cannabis worth an estimated €150,000 has been seized from a home in Larchill, Santry in Dublin, on Saturday. Gardaí arrested four men in connection with the find. They are due to appear in court on Monday.

Counterfeit Uggs Worth €1m Seized In Cork
Counterfeit Ugg boots with an estimated value of €1 million have been seized by gardaí and customs officers in Cork. The counterfeit boots were found during a raid on an industrial unit in Hollyhill at about 10:30 on Thursday. Two men, aged 59 and 29, were arrested following the search.

Four Arrested In Money Laundering Investigation
Gardaí in Cork have arrested four people in an investigation into money laundering. Two men, aged 19 and 29, and two women, aged 28 and 50, were arrested during a search of houses in the Fairhill and Knocknaheeny areas. Gardaí say they are being interviewed as part of an ongoing investigation into money laundering in Cork.

Woman Released In Longford Murder Investigation
The woman being held by Gardaí in connection with the death of Sharon Coughlan, has been released without charge. Gardaí in Co Longford arrested three people yesterday. Two men, aged 19 and 28, were still in custody this morning. It is understood their period of detention has been extended.
