No Change To TV Licencing Fee

There will no change to the current arrangements of the TV licence fee, the Minister of State at the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources said.

Minister McHugh made the comment in response to a question from Fianna Fáil TD Michael Moynihan. Mr McHugh said that while Alex White, the Minister for Communications, was considering amendments to the "administrative and operational issues", there would be no change to the licence fee "at present".

Minister McHugh said it was important to "take time and do things in a proper way."
