Bausch + Lomb Announce New Investment In Waterford Plant

Fifty new jobs are expected to be created as part of a major investment plan at Bausch + Lomb.

One of the largest private sector employers in the southeast, Bausch + Lomb announced pay cuts and redundancies earlier this year.

However, the company has announced a €41m investment in its manufacturing capacity at its Waterford facility, which should see the creation of 50 new jobs within the next 18 months.

The investment is being supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation and IDA Ireland.

Bausch + Lomb Create 125 New Jobs
Bausch + Lomb has announced the opening of a new €85 million extension at the their Waterford facility, with the creation of 125 new jobs. Valeant Pharmaceuticals International, the parent company of Bausch + Lomb, has invested more than €200 million in the Waterford facility's operations, infrastructure and manufacturing line growth.
