Elderly Couple Found Dead In Donegal
Two people have been found dead at a property in Carndonagh, Co Donegal, gardaí have said.
Shortly after 9am on Thursday, detectives were called to the house.
They found the bodies of a man and woman, both believed to be in their 70s, at the property.
A hatchet was found at the scene.
A man, aged 42, has been arrested in connection with the incident.
He is currently being detained at Buncrana Garda Station.
The State Pathologist's office has been informed of the deaths.
The scene has been preserved and a technical examination is due to take place.

Missing Co Mayo man, David Duffy, has been found safe and well, garda have reported. Garda had issued an appeal for help in tracing 36-year-old Mr Duffy, who had not been seen since Sunday. Garda have thanked the public for their help and said that no further action is needed.

Man Found Dead In 'Most Unusual' Circumstances
A senior garda has described the circumstances surrounding a man found dead in his apartment on Wednesday as "most unusual". Detectives in the case say they are certain the victim, a separated father, was murdered despite no sign of a break-in, obvious injuries, indication of a weapon having been used or any suggestion of poisoning.

Body Found In Co Donegal
Gardai have launched an investigation after a body was discovered in Bundoran, Co Donegal, this morning (25 April). The body, believed to be a man aged in his 60's or 70's, was found near the shore in the West End of the town. It is believed the body remains at the scene.

Arrested Over Kilrush Body Find
A man has been detained in connection with the discovery of a body in Co Clare. The body of the 27-year-old was found outside a house in Kilrush this morning. The victim was found shot dead in the garden of a house on O'Gorman Street at around 10.30am.

Missing 25-Year-Old Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A 25-year-old man who was missing from Harcourt Street in Dublin has been found safe and well, Gardaí have reported. Simon Quinn was reported missing after last being seen at around 2.30am on Monday, 30 July. However, Mr Quinn has now been found and Gardaí said they wish to thank the media and public for their assistance.
