Passengers Escape Bus Fire In Co Cork

A number of children have escaped injury after the bus transporting them to the National Ploughing Championships caught fire.

Gardaí say that a "small fire" broke out in the engine of the bus at around 7am on Wednesday morning just outside Ballyvourney, Co Cork.

The driver and all passengers managed to get on the bus without injury.

Fianna Fáil Calls On Varadkar To Open Bus Lanes
Bus lanes around Dublin city should be opened to traffic during the ongoing Dublin Bus strike, a Fianna Fáil (FF) Senator has said. FF party spokesperson Darragh O'Brien, has called on the Minister for Transport to open up all bus lanes in Dublin to help commuters affected by the Dublin Bus strike.

Passengers Escape Bus Blaze In Cork
A bus has caught fire in Co Cork on Thursday morning, forcing the bus driver and four passengers to flee the vehicle to escape injury. The fire happened at Kilworth on the 7.30am Cork to Mitchelstown service, and some 20 people including School chidren are believed to have got off the bus minutes before in the Fermoy area.
