Co Carlow Death Changed To Murder Investigation

An investigation into the discovery of a man's body at a house in Tullow, Co Carlow has been upgraded to a murder inquiry.

The body of 41-year-old Gints Intenbergs, a Latvian national, was found in a rented house on the Graigeowen estate at about 9am on Tuesday morning.

The results of a post-mortem have not be revealed but gardaí have said that the case has now become a murder investigation.

Another Latvian national was found in the house with serious injuries, he remains in hospital.

Two men arrested in connection with the incident are being held at Carlow Garda Station.

Gardaí have launched an investigation following the discovery of a man's body in an apartment in Galway City. It is understood that the man's body was found by his flatmate on Monday. According to reports, the dead man is believed to be a 23-year-old from Tullamore in Co Offaly who was studying in Galway City.

Limerick Stabbing Victim Dies
A man has been held by Gardaí in Limerick shortly after a fatal stabbing attack in the town in the early hours of Thursday morning. They arrested a 25-year-old man following the killing. The 45-year-old victim was found with serious stab wounds at a house on Lenihan Avenue in Prospect at around 2am.
