Waterford Sexual Assault Suspected Arrested
Gardaí investigating a serious sexual assault in Waterford city have arrested a man in his 20s.
Garda say that the incident happened in the Millennium Plaza area of the city at about 4am on Sunday morning.
A forensic examination of the scene on the quays was conducted on Sunday and garda say that their investigation is continuing.

'Plan Ahead' For St Patrick's Day Events This Weekend
Belfast City Council has outlined traffic and travel arrangements ahead of this Sunday's St Patrick's Day event in Belfast. A number of traffic diversions will be in place in and around Belfast city centre. Visitors and participants are advised to plan their journey in advance and leave extra time to travel to and from the city centre.

Gardai To Lead Dublin City Marathon
The nation's runners will be on their best behavior this year, as the Garda Athletics Club will be leading off the Dublin City Marathon. Taking place on Monday, 27th October a member from the Garda Choir will also sing the National Anthem prior to the commencement of the race.

Man Stabbed Multiple Times In Cork City
Gardaí are investigating after a man was stabbed a number of times in Cork city last night, Sunday 12 May. The 30-year-old was attacked at Ardmore Avenue, Knocknaheeny at around 10.50pm. He is recovering in Cork University Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. The investigation is ongoing.

Man Dies In Motorcycle Accident In Dublin
A man, 38, has died in a road crash in Dublin city centre on Sunday night. The man's motorcycle collided with a bus on Constitution Hill at approximately 11.30pm. He was taken to Mater Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The road is now re-opened.

Customs Seize 120,000 Illegal Cigarettes
Cigarettes with an estimated retail value of €57,000 have been seized by customs officers at Cork Airport. Some 120,000 Marlboro cigarettes were discovered in 12 suitcases that had arrived on a flight from Wroclaw, Poland. Garda arrested two men, understood to be Polish nationals, in connection with the find.
