Renewed Appeal Over Raonaid Murray Murder
Gardai have appealed for information regarding the murder of 17-year-old Raonaid Murray on the 15th anniversary of her death.
Raonaid worked at a clothes shop then known as Sally West in Dun Laoghaire Shopping Centre. She left the shop at about 21:00 on 3 September 1999 and went with a friend to Scott’s Public House in Dun Laoghaire.
She made arrangements with a friend to go to a night club later that same evening and then left Scott’s at approximately 23:20 to go home and change. Raonaid's house is about 15 minutes' walk from Scott's Public House.
Her body was found at Silchester Crescent in Glenageary at 00:33 on the morning of 4 September less than 500 yards from her home.
Gardai said: "If any person has any information which could assist in identifying a motive for the murder of Raonaid and / or if any person has any doubts about the veracity of an alibi provided, we would appeal for your immediate assistance."
Raonaid’s family have also appealed to the public for any information that could lead to the arrest of her killer.
Gardai and Raonaid’s family have asked anyone with information to contact the Garda Incident Room at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station, phone 01-6665032 / 6665012 or alternatively the Garda Confidential line at 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.

Those responsible for the death of Raonaid Murray have been urged to "own up" and "confess your crime" on the 20th anniversary of her murder. Raonaid was 17-years-old when she was stabbed to death as she made her way home on 04 September, 1999. The teenager was found at 12.33am on Silchester Crescent, 500 metres from her home.

The inquiry is into the murder on Raonaid Murray in 1999, and markes the run -up to the nine-year anniversary of her death. Gardaí at Dun Laoghaire are continuing their investigation into the murder, which occurred on the 4th September 1999, in Dublin.
