Albert Reynolds' Funeral Arrangements Revealed

Former Taoiseach Albert Reynolds will be laid to rest with a State funeral on Monday 25 August.

The funeral will be held in the Sacred Heart Church, Donnybrook, Dublin on Monday at 12pm.

It is understood that there will be limited seating, but that the mass will be broadcast outside the church.

Prior to this, Mr Reynolds will lie in repose in the Oak Room, Mansion House, Co Dublin from 1pm to 6pm.

A book of condolence will be available at Fianna Fáil's party headquarters at 65-66 Lower Mount Street, Dublin 2, from 9am on Saturday morning.

An online book of condolence is also available on the Department of the Taoiseach website.

Croke Park Residents To Protest DCC Meeting
A protest is to be held next Monday outside the monthly meeting of Dublin City Council (DCC) by residents of Croke Park over the upcoming Garth Brooks concerts. The residents took the decision to protest at a public meeting held on the issue. They also agreed to demand an oral hearing into the concert licence application.

Book Of Condolence Opens For Lenihan
A book of condolence has opened this morning at Government Buildings for the late Brian Lenihan. He passed away on Friday after his health deteriorated due to the pancreatic cancer. He was diagnosed in 2009, and left hospital to be cared for close to his family. The public are welcome to sign the book from 9am until 6pm this evening.
