DCC Remind Property Owners Of Outstanding NPPR Charges

Property owners have been reminded that they may be liable for the Non Principle Private Residence (NPPR) charge, which is payable if a property is owned that is not their own private residence.

The NPPR charge was operational between 2009 and 2013 but it is understood that a number of charges remain unpaid.

A deadline of Sunday 31st August 2014 has been set for compliance with the charge.

In a statement released by Dublin City Council, they state: "If no payment has been made to date, the amount currently outstanding, including penalties, amounts to €4220.00 per property. Property owners who are liable for the NPPR charge are encouraged to agree payment terms with local authorities before Sunday 31st August or further penalties of €3010.00 per property will apply."
