Railtours Ireland Launches Dublin Bay Hopper Tour

Sean Kenny, the Dublin Labour TD and member of the Oireachtas Committee on Transport has welcomed the new Dublin Bay Hopper tour, operated by Railtours Ireland.

Mr Kenny said: "The Dublin Bay Hopper is a privately operated tour by private company Railtours Ireland, who charter a Dart from Irish Rail to operate the service. Irish Rail are providing some initial support for the pilot process while the concept is trialled as this could prove useful source of revenue to Irish Rail.

"The tour occurs on a Saturday over the Connolly to Bray section. However, the 2-day ticket offers unlimited travel across the full Dart network. Furthermore, Railtours Ireland are stressing the further attractions on the Northside route to those on the tour so they can get full benefit of the 2-day ticket.

"Railtours Ireland are operating this service on a pilot basis and have chosen the initial itinerary from Connolly to Bray."
