Pregnant Woman Injured In Carjacking

Gardaí in Dublin have arrested a man in connection with an assault and carjacking in the city centre on Monday.

According to gardaí, a pregnant female passenger was assaulted in the incident on Hill Street in the north of the city at about 15:00 yesterday.

It is understood that as the stolen car was being driven off it passed a garda patrol, which gave chase before bringing it to a stop on Sean McDermott Street.

A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

The pregnant woman received hospital treatment for injuries.

Man Arrested Following Drugs Find
Drugs with an estimated street value of €170,000 have been seized by gardai during a raid on a property in west Dublin. Cocaine and cannabis was found during the raid at a house in Balgaddy. Man Arrested Over Pearse Street Assault
A man aged in his 20s has been arrested by Gardai investigating a serious assault on a 41-year-man at Pearse St, on Monday. He was arrested in the south inner city area on Monday evening and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, at Pearse St Garda Station.
