Man Critical After Arriving At Garda Station Suffering Gunshot Wounds

A man is in a critical condition after being shot a number of times in the neck and upper body in a west Dublin church car park on Wednesday evening.

The man, aged in his 30s, managed to drive himself to Clondalkin Garda Station, despite having been seriously injured in the shooting at around 18:00 yesterday.

It has been established that the man was shot in the car park of Bawnogue Church.

The car park, part of Tower Road and Clondalkin Garda Station has been closed pending a forensic examination.

Man Killed In Saggart Shooting
An investigation has been launched into the death of a man following a shooting in Saggart in Co Dublin. It is understood a man in his 40s was attacked at about 23:00 on Tuesday at a house in Botherboy. He was later pronounced dead at Tallaght Hospital. Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses to an incident at Kiltake, Co Meath on Thursday, 15 September.
