Man Dies After Being Attacked In Dundalk
A man who was attacked in a pub in Dundalk last weekend has died.
Laurence Michael McGeown, 60, was assaulted on Friday night.
Mr McGeown died at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. He had been on a life support machine.
A man is currently being questioned by Garda about the incident.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Dundalk on Thursday, 10 December. A 69-year-old man died in hospital following the collision on the Inner Relief Road in Dundalk at about 17:00, garda have reported. It is understood the man was driving a car that was involved in a collision with a bus.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to two fatal road accidents on Saturday. A 62-year-old man died when the car he was a passenger in left the road on the M50 at about 12:45am between Junction 10 Ballymount and Junction 11 Tallaght. The 60-year-old female driver is in a critical condition in Tallaght Hospital.

Gardaí are appealing to witnesses of a fatal road accident in Galway on Tuesday night. A 60-year-old man died after his car hit a wall in the Liosban Industrial Estate at about 22:00. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. The victim was pronounced dead at University College Hospital Galway.
