Two Arrested Following Post Office Robbery
Two men have been arrested in connection with the robbery of a post office in Roscommon.
Two masked men, one of whom is believed to have been armed, entered the post office in Strokestown at approximately 9.30am on Tuesday morning.
The pair threatened staff and made off in a silver Volvo with an undisclosed sum of money.
The vehicle was later found crashed on the road between Ballymahon and Lanesborough.
Gardai are currently questioning two men at Roscommon Garda Station.

Donegal Post Office Robbery Investigated
Gardaí in Co Donegal have launched an investigation after a post office in Ramelton was robbed. It is understood that the robbery was carried out by three men, who escaped with an undisclosed sum of money. The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination.

The government has been accused of continuing to undermine the Post Office network across Ireland. Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Communications Michael Moynihan made the comments after the Department of Social Protection issued letters to jobseekers recommending that they bypass Post Offices by using financial institutions to receive their payments.
