Boil Water Notice Issued In Co Limerick

A boil water notice has been issued to households and businesses in Co Limerick due to water pumping stations being affected by ongoing power outages.

Limerick County Council said that is was "not in a position to guarantee that water supplies throughout the county are treated to the standards required by the drinking water regulations."

The boil water notice is expected to remain in place for a few days.

And in Co Clare residents are facing water shortages as a result of the power cuts caused by the recent storms.

Tankers are being sent to a number of locations including Sixmilebridge, in the Square; in Kilmurry, in the Church carpark; in Kilkishen, outside the GAA pitch; and in Killaloe, in Supervalu carpark.
