New €2m Ward Unveiled At Temple St Hospital

Temple Street Hospital in Dublin has revealed a €2 million renovation, mostly funded through donations.

Professional cyclist Dan Martins, who helped with fundraising, unveiled the new Top Flat Ward, a mix of four and two bedded units alongside four single isolation rooms, fitted with an air-pressured controlled environment.

The hospital had been unchanged since the 1930s.

Call For Parents Not To Bring Children To Temple Street Following Power Cut
Parents are being urged not to bring their children to Temple Street Children's Hospital in Dublin following a problem with the power supply. At around 3am this morning, 04 August, the hospital suffered an eight second interruption to its power supply and switched over to run on its own generator.

Temple Street Restrictions Extended
Temple Street Children's Hospital has extended a visiting restriction "until further notice". On Monday the hospital said it would only allow parents and guardians to visit patients, due to an increase in the number of cases of a highly contagious vomiting bug.
