CEO Of Limerick City Of Culture Resigns
Patrica Ryan, the former Chief Executive of Limerick City of Culture, has resigned from her position.
In a statement, she said the speculation and commentary surrounding the events of recent days has regrettably compromised her authority.
Her resignation closely follows the resignation of the project's artistic director Karl Wallace.
The controversy was over Ms Ryan's €120,000-a-year salary, as well as the revelation that her contract had not been advertised.
She was appointed CEO of the City of Culture in November.

'Plan Ahead' For St Patrick's Day Events This Weekend
Belfast City Council has outlined traffic and travel arrangements ahead of this Sunday's St Patrick's Day event in Belfast. New plans to support the most vulnerable in Belfast while growing the economy, regenerating neighbourhoods and achieving climate targets have been published in a refreshed strategic plan for the city. First published in 2017, the Belfast Agenda set out joint vision for the city up to 2035.

Ireland's Equality Authority Chief Executive Niall Crowley has resigned, alleging the authority had been 'officially victimised' for helping to tackle discrimination, particularly in the public sector. Specifically, he is reported to have cited funding cuts at the organisation as part of his reasons for leaving the high profile job.

Dublin Reading Campaign Launched For Children
Dublin City Council has released details of the 2020 book for the Citywide Reading Campaign, an initiative to promote reading for pleasure among children. Launching in the newly refurbished Coolock library, children are encouraged to read 'Boot' by Shane Hegarty, a story that follows a small robot on a big adventure.

DCC Publish New Transport Study Proposals
A public consultation is to be launched tomorrow on Dublin City Council's (DCC) new transport study, which lays out a number of proposals to "enhance overall movement in the city". DCC said that traffic congestion in the city is "already rising" and morning-peak journeys are estimated to rise by more than 40,000 by 2023.
