Water At Beaumont Hospital Found To Be Contaminated
E-coli and coliforms have been discovered in the water at Beaumont Hospital.
Routine testing at the hospital found that contaminants in the radiation oncology unit. Cancer patients at the hospital have been advised not to drink the water.
The hospital say that all affected units have been identified and disabled and that no other water sources have been contaminated.
It is understood that no patients of staff have yet suffered ill health.
A boil water notice is currently in place.

The government has been accused of putting lives at risk with its "failure" to put in place a 21st century water treatment system. Sinn Féin Senator Trevor Ó Clochartaigh made the comment following the publication of the Environmental Protection Agency's Urban Waste Water Report for 2014.
