Location Of New National Science Centre Announced

Dublin's Earlsfort Terrace has been announced as the location for a new interactive national science centre.

State-owned premises adjacent to the National Concert Hall will become the home of the Exploration Station, which if being developed by the Irish Children’s Museum Ltd.

The Officer of Public Works will spend the next 36 months upgrading the building to improve accessibility and health and safety facilities.

Additional Funding Announced For National Sexual Assault Treatment Unit
A policy review and its recommendations of the National Sexual Assault Treatment Unit (SATU) have been published by the Minister for Health, Simon Harris. The review contains 10 actions which aim to strengthen the health service provided to victims of sexual assault and will be implemented over the next two years.

2016 National Famine Commemoration Announced
The 2016 National Famine Commemoration is to take place on Sunday, 11 September at Glasnevin Cemetery in Dublin. The event was announced by Heather Humphreys, the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and Chair of the National Famine Commemoration Committee.
