Driver Killed In Co Meath Road Crash

A man has died in a road crash in Co Meath, gardaí have reported.

According to gardaí the 21-year-old was the driver of a car that hit a ditch on the Dunshaughlin to Dunboyne road at around 12.30am.

It is understood that three other men and two women were also in the car and are being treated for injuries.

The road is closed for a technical examination and local diversions are in place.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to contact Dunshaughlin Garda Station on 01-8258600, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111 or any garda station.

Man Killed In Co Dublin Road Crash
Gardaí in Co Dublin have reported the death of a 22-year-old man in a single-vehicle road crash. According to gardaí the man was fatally injured when the car he was travelling in hit a tree on the R130 at Baldwinstown, Garristown at around 21.30 on Monday night. The man, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Renewed Appeal Over Murder Of Taxi Driver
Gardaí have renewed an appeal for information on the murder of taxi driver Martin Mulligan. Mr Mulligan (53) was stabbed to death on 28 September following an altercation in Dundalk in Co Louth. It is believed the altercation began over an unpaid taxi fare.

Man Questioned Over Fatal Road Crash In Co Mayo
Garda have detained a man in connection with a fatal road crash in Co Mayo on Sunday, 08 May. A 41-year-old motorcyclist was killed when his bike collided with a van on the N26 at Ballinahaglush at around 3.45pm. A man was arrested and is being detained at Ballina Garda Station.
