Man Dies In Dublin Shooting
A 39-year-old man has died in a shooting.
The incident happened around 10pm on Thursday night in Clondalkin, Dublin.
According to gardaí, a number of shots were fired as the man made his way home, before the gunman escaped in a waiting car.
It is understood that the victim, who died a short time after arriving at Tallaght Hospital, was known to gardaí and a line of investigation is the possible connection to the killing of Dean Johnson last weekend.
A number of cars in the Cherrywood estate have been covered with tarpaulin and streets closed off pending a forensic examination.

Missing 25-Year-Old Man Found 'Safe And Well'
A 25-year-old man who was missing from Harcourt Street in Dublin has been found safe and well, Gardaí have reported. Simon Quinn was reported missing after last being seen at around 2.30am on Monday, 30 July. However, Mr Quinn has now been found and Gardaí said they wish to thank the media and public for their assistance.

Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Dundalk on Thursday, 10 December. A 69-year-old man died in hospital following the collision on the Inner Relief Road in Dundalk at about 17:00, garda have reported. It is understood the man was driving a car that was involved in a collision with a bus.

Eight Arrested In Dundalk Murder Inquiry
Gardaí investigating the murder of Aidan Myers in Dundalk last year have arrested eight people. Six men and two women were arrested this morning. It is understood that four men, aged 19 and 26, are being questioned in relation to Mr Myers' murder, while two men and two women are being questioned on suspicion of withholding information.

No other vehicles were involved in the accident. The victim was pronounced dead at University College Hospital Galway.

Woman, 82, Dies In Road Accident
An 82-year-old woman has died following a road accident in Donegal. The crash occurred at around 3.50pm on Monday (18 August) at The Ross in Bundoran. Gardaí have said a car collided with a fence in the incident. The woman was transferred to Sligo Hospital but later died from her injuries. Anyone with information is asked to contact Gardaí.
