Body Found In Burnt Out Car 'Not Suspicious'

The body of a woman has been found in a burnt out car in Co Kildare.

Gardaí have said that the body was discovered at around 11:30 today in a vehicle on a car park in Eadestown.

However, garda added that they believe the death to have been a "personal tragedy" and are not treating it as suspicious.

The body, believed to be that of a woman in her 50s who had been living in the area, was removed to Naas General Hospital to undergo a post-mortem examination.

A forensic examination of the scene is ongoing.

Investigation Launched After Body Found In Carlow
The body of a woman has been found in a house in Carlow. Gardaí say that the body of a 37-year-old woman was discovered at a house in the Craigcullen area of Carlow at about 21:45 on Sunday. The body remains at the scene to allow for a forensic examination. The identity of the woman has not yet been released.

Gardai have launched an investigation after a body was discovered in Bundoran, Co Donegal, this morning (25 April). The body, believed to be a man aged in his 60's or 70's, was found near the shore in the West End of the town. It is believed the body remains at the scene.

A man has been jailed for life for killing Irish woman Siobhan Kelly who lay dead in her London flat undiscovered for three weeks after he beat her to death. Stephen Foad, 42, denied murdering Miss Kelly, but three days into the trial he changed his plea. He was given a minimum term of 13 years.

Investigation Launched After Woman's Body Found
Gardai have launched an investigation following the discovery of a woman's body in a house in Dublin. The body of the 43-year-old was found in a house in Rathgar Road in Rathmines just before midnight on Wednesday. A forensic examination is being carried out and the body remains at the scene.
