Govt Re-Open Limited Number Of Civil Servant Roles

A limited number of senior civil service posts are to become available in the first recruitment drive since a general moratorium in 2009.

The government have a limited number of posts, in both generalist and specialist positions, in government departments alongside some junior diplomat roles in the Department of Foreign Affairs.

It is understood that the overall number of civil servants are expected to continue being reduced over the next three years and that these new posts are aimed at addressing specific skills gaps.

There will be 100 generalist positions at executive officer level, which is the lowest of the civil service entry grades, and 40 vacancies at third-secretary level with the Foreign Affairs department.

In addition an unspecified number of specialist roles will also be available at administrative officer level for candidates with expertise in economics, policy analysis and human resources.
