41-Year-Old Man Denies Co Clare Murder

The trial of a 41-year-man, charged with the murder of a Co Clare woman two years ago, goes on trial tomorrow following the swearing of the jury today (Tuesday).

Colm Deely of School Road in Ballyvaughan denies murdering Deirdre McCarthy (43) between 11pm on March 27, 2011 and noon the following day, March 28.

The trial is expected to last up to three weeks.
