€7m Funding For 62 Research Projects

The government is set to announce almost €7m of funding for 62 early stage scientific research projects.

The funding will be part of the Foundation Ireland's Technology Innovation Development Award programme, will be in collaboration with Enterprise Ireland and will be targeted at projects thought to have a commercial benefit.

Minister for Research and Innovation Sean Sherlock is expected to detail the projects that will benefit later today (Thursday).
