Former Judge Pleads Guilty To Falsifying Account

A former District Court Judge has pleaded guilty to falsifying an account during her time as a solicitor.

61-year-old Heather Perrin, who is currently serving a sentence for deception, appeared at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to face the further charge.

Perrin from Lambay Court, Malahide, was sentenced last November to two and half years for deception when a jury found she had induced an elderly client to include her children as major benficiaries in his will.

She resigned as a judge two days before her sentence was imposed.

At Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on Friday morning she pleaded guilty to falsifying an account with the intention of making a gain between May 2004 and February 2009.
