Hurricane Sandy Affects Transatlantic Flights

Hurricane Sandy is continuing to affect some transatlantic flights from Dublin Airport to the East coast of the US.

Aer Lingus has said its flights arriving into and departing from JFK Airport in New York are cancelled for the day.

Passengers are advised to contact their airline or their airline's website before travelling to Dublin Airport.

Flights Resume Following Fire At Dublin Airport
Flights have resumed at Dublin Airport following a fire at a hangar in a restricted area of the building. Flights were suspended for around 90 minutes while firefighters tackled a blaze at Hangar 3, which is in a restricted area separate from passengers facilities.

Dublin Airport Cancels Freezing Flights
Dublin Airport has cancelled and delayed number of flights following freezing weather conditions. Passengers are being advised to contact their airline or handling agent before coming to the airport as 12 Aer Lingus flights have been cancelled, as well as one British Airways flight and an Air France flight.
