Gas Leak At Dublin Port

A number of premises around a refrigeration company at Dublin Port had to be evacuated this morning following a chlorine gas leak.

Several units of the Dublin Fire Brigade, including the Chemical Response Unit, were called to the scene at 8.30am. The leak has since been isolated.

Bond Rd was closed during the alert and there is no access to East Point from the Dublin Port.

Bodies Found At Dublin Home After Suspected Gas Leak
The bodies of a man and a woman have been discovered in a house in Dublin today. The remains, aged in their 60s, were found at Drumalee Court at approximately 1pm this afternoon. It is believed there may have been a gas leak. The bodies remain at the scene and a State pathologist has been notified.

Dublin Port Tunnel Closed Following Accident
The Dublin Port Tunnel is currently closed following a road traffic collision early on Friday morning. It is understood a truck has overturned in the north bore tunnel, and emergency services are using the south bore tunnel to access the scene. The 5 axle ban for Dublin City has been lifted due to the Port Tunnel collision.

Blaze-Hit Dublin Port Tunnel Reopens
A fire in the Dublin Port Tunnel has forced the closure of the crucial tunnel in both directions early this morning. Although both lanes have since been reopened, traffic remains very heavy in the area and gardaí have appealed to motorists to use alternative routes.
