Man Dies In Dumper Truck Crash

A young motorcyclist has died after colliding with a dumper truck in County Cavan.

The man, in his early twenties, was taken to Cavan General Hospital after the crash, which happened at Drumgart, Belturbet at about 11.25am today.

But he died later today.

The driver of the dumper truck was uninjured.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and the road remained closed after the accident.

Gardai have asked anyone with information to contact Ballyconnell Garda Station on 049-9525580, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.

Meanwhile, a teenager who was involved in a crash in Limerick on Saturday has died from his injuries.

Ciaran Quigley, 17, from Rearcross died yesterday at Limerick General Hospital after the two-car collision at Grange Cross, Tipperary Road, where other people also died.

Man Dead After Co Clare Crash
A man has died following a crash in County Clare this morning. The 23-year-old was taken to Ennis General Hospital after the one-vehicle crash in Lahinch at 1.30am. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. Two women and one man, all in their 20s, were taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries. They were passengers in the car.

PSNI Investigating Fatal Collision Near Bready, Co Tyrone
An investigation has been launched following a fatal road traffic collision near Bready, Co Tyrone. At around 1.40pm on Sunday, 07 April, police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on the Victoria Road. When police arrived it was discovered that a white Seat Leon had left the carriageway close to the junction with Grangefoyle Road.

Motorcyclist Killed In Dublin Crash
A man has died following a collision between a motorbike and a taxi in Dublin. The crash occurred on the Old Navan Road near Mulhuddart in the west of the city at around 7pm on Wednesday evening, 04 September. The 45-year-old motorcyclist was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown and Gardaí later confirmed he had died.

Witnesses Sought To Fatal Collision In Dublin
Gardaí have issued an appeal for information regarding a fatal road traffic collision in Dublin over the weekend. A woman, aged in her 70s, died when the car she was driving crashed on Windgate Road, Howth at about 3.20pm on Sunday afternoon.
