400 New Jobs To Be Created By The Rehab Group

The Rehab Group, which provides support services and job opportunity for disabled people, has announced that it plans to recruit 750 new staff over the next three years.

Over 400 of these positions will be based in Ireland.

The Rehab Group currently employs over 3,500 people, with 2,500 based in Ireland and another 1,000 in the UK, Poland and the Netherlands.

The new posts will be in the areas of training, education, health and social care, IT, sales and marketing, management and administration.

Speaking on RTÉ’s News at One, Rehab Group chief executive, Angela Kerins, said recruitment is already under way for the jobs.

Ms Kerins said that the jobs are open to anybody, but added that people with disabilities are being particularly encouraged to apply.

Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton, who made the announcement in Dublin, said: "Rehab is an Irish organisation which had success in its original field and branched out to new sectors creating large-scale employment.”
