Game Customers Lose Out On Gift Vouchers And Loyalty Points

After retailer Game went into administration yesterday it has been confirmed that video gamers will lose thousands of euro in gift vouchers and loyalty card points.

PricewaterhouseCoopers said customers can no longer cash in their gift cards at Game’s 14 stores in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, Monaghan and Athlone, and that points can no longer be earned on their Game Reward and Gamestation Elite cards.

"We have had to suspend Game and Gamestation gift cards," said a spokesperson.

"The value on these cards cannot be redeemed. If this changes, we will let you know. We apologise for the inconvenience this causes.”

The collapsed chain announced 121 job losses after the closure of all of its stores.

They will not be making any redundancy payments.
