Wicklow Body Suspected To Be Missing Teen

Human remains found in County Wicklow are suspected to be that of a missing teenager.

Gardai from Dublin Metropolitian Region South Central, carrying out a search operation in the Wicklow Mountains at Kippure confirmed on Monday they have discovered unidentified human remains.

Dr Jabir from the State Pathologist's office attended the scene and a post mortem to confirm the identity will be carried out later at the morgue at Tallaght hospital.

Gardaí said they cannot confirming whether the remains are that of a male or female, and further updates would come out.

Human Remains Found At Recycling Plant Confirmed As Male
Human remains found at a recycling plant in Dublin belonged to a man, Gardaí have confirmed. Staff at the Thornton's recycling centre on Killeen Road, Ballyfermot, found the lower part of a human leg on Friday and called gardaí. The upper part of a leg was then found on Saturday.

Remains Of 'Disappeared' Confirmed As Seamus Wright And Kevin McKee
Two bodies discovered in a bog in the Republic of Ireland in June are those of Seamus Wright and Kevin McKee, two of the Disappeared. Mr Wright and Mr McKee, who were both members of the IRA, were abducted and murdered in 1972.

HSE Issue Meningitis Advice After Co Cavan Cases Confirmed
Parents have been warned to remain vigilant for the signs of meningitis following the diagnosis of two children in Co Cavan with the potentially fatal infection. The two children attended the same crèche in Ballyheelan, Kilnaleck. Antibiotics have been administered to all children at the crèche and any staff that had contact with the children.
