Alleged Northern Vice Ring Closed

A 29-year-old male has been charged with trafficking into the UK, trafficking within the UK, controlling prostitution, brothel keeping and concealing criminal property. A 22-year-old male and a 22-year-old female have been charged with brothel keeping and controlling prostitution.

All three are expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court on the morning of Friday 26 August, while a 24-year-old man has been released on bail pending further enquiries. Earlier this week, four people were arrested in Belfast in a police investigation into a human trafficking and vice ring.

The PSNI said six suspected trafficking victims had been rescued in recent weeks due to their enquiries and that the investigation has been running for three months and while centred in Belfast, stretched across Europe.
