80 New Jobs Created At NPD Group

Minister of State at the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation has today officially opened The NPD Group’s new facility in Athlone.

The new facility, a full Global IT/Operations Centre, means an increase from the current 20 employees to 100 over the next three years. The 80 new jobs will be in the areas of data classification, data analytics, quality assurance and software development.

The NPD Group, who established a pilot effort in Athlone in 2010, is a global provider of comsumer and retail tracking market research. The investment is supported by IDA Ireland.

Opening the new centre, Minister John Perry said: “Ireland’s ability to attract investment from companies of the calibre of The NPD Group is most encouraging. Today’s announcement demonstrates that Ireland is very much open for business and is an excellent location to host the global operations of multinational companies. I look forward to building on the already strong working relationship between the Irish Government and NPD and offer the continued support of the Government to The NPD Group as it develops in Ireland.”
