Galway Bay Shock As Body Recovered
The body of a man has been found on the shoreline of an uninhabited island in Galway Bay this morning.
It was located on Rabbitt Island near the entrance to Galway Harbour by the Shannon-based coastguard helicopter.
Gardai say they are trying to establish if it is that of a man who was seen falling into the River Corrib last evening or if that of another man who was reported missing on 30 January.
An air and sea search of the bay is continuing involving the coastguard helicopter, inshore lifeboats and emergency services personnel are involved.
The body of the man recovered is being taken to Galway University Hospital for a post mortem examination.

Gardaí have launched an investigation following the discovery of a man's body in an apartment in Galway City. It is understood that the man's body was found by his flatmate on Monday. According to reports, the dead man is believed to be a 23-year-old from Tullamore in Co Offaly who was studying in Galway City.

Missing Galway Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Gardaí in Galway have reported that John Moyles has been found "safe and well". The 23-year-old, from the Rahoon area of Galway, was reported missing on Sunday. It is understood that he was found in the Dublin area. Garda have thanked the public for their help.

Body Discovered In Galway Street
An investigation is underway following the discovery of a body in Galway city this morning. It is understood that the body of a 40-year-old local man was found at around 07:30 on Wednesday morning on Shop St. Gardaí have said that they do not believe the death to be suspicious.

Body Found In Co Donegal
Gardai have launched an investigation after a body was discovered in Bundoran, Co Donegal, this morning (25 April). The body, believed to be a man aged in his 60's or 70's, was found near the shore in the West End of the town. It is believed the body remains at the scene.
