Appeal Over 'Aggravated' Burglary

A mother and her children have been threatened during an aggravated burglary in County Donegal this morning.

Gardaí said they are investigating the incident, which occurred on a residence in Kinnego near Buncrana, County Donegal yesterday morning at approximately 9am.

At least four raiders were involved. Three of men, who were believed to be armed with firearms, entered the house and threatened a mother and her children. They escaped with an amount of cash in the family car a dark blue Audi A6 registration number 09 DL 2621.

No one was injured. The car drove towards Bridgend and was found abandoned in Derry at approximately 10am.

Shortly after the incident a male in his 30s was arrested near the house in Kinnego while driving a Silver Nissan Almera registration number CZJ 2195. He is currently detained at Buncrana Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

Gardaí said they wish to appeal for witnesses who can assist in tracing the movements of the two cars; a dark blue Audi A6 registration number 09 DL 2621 and a Silver Nissan Almera registration number CZJ 2195.

Both cars were active yesterday morning between 8am and 10am in and around the Kinnego and Illies areas near Buncrana and in the Bridgeend area.

Garda Appeal For Missing 45-Year-Old Woman
Gardaí in Santry have appealed for help to trace missing 45-year-old Enda Harris, who was last seen in the Beaumont area on Thursday afternoon. It is believed Ms Harris was seen getting on a bus at about 16:00 yesterday. She is described as being 5'5'' tall and with blonde shoulder length hair.
