Eleven Still Held In Drug Gang Raids

Gardaí are continuing to hold 11 men who were arrested during a major crackdown on Dublin drug gangs yesterday.

Around 300 officers were involved in Monday's early morning raids, which involved more than 30 locations in Dublin, Wexford, Kildare, Cavan and Cork.

The main target of the raids was a a drug-trafficking gang which operated out of Sheriff street in Dublin's north inner city and has been involved in a murderous feud with another gang, which has resulted in five deaths.

Thirteen people, all aged between 17 and 61, were arrested, while small quantities of cocaine and a number of mobile phones, computers and bulletproof vests were also seized.

The 17-year-old was released on police bail, pending an appearance before the Children's Court. A 23-year-old has appeared in court and been remanded to appear again next Friday.

The major operation, which was coordinated from the Store Street garda station, also involved the Emergency Response Unit, while searches were also carried out by the dog unit and Garda helicopter.

New Expanded Search Launched For Missing Dublin Men
A fresh has begun for two Dublin men who went missing two months ago. Gardaí say that the a search has begun along the border of counties Cavan and Meath. They are searching for Eoin O'Conno and Anthony Keegan, who were last seen in Co Cavan on 22 March.

Three Arrested After Armoured Van Robbery
Three people are being held after a cash-in-transit van was stolen in Drogheda, Co Louth on Thursday morning. At 10.00am, Gardaí received a call to say a van was being held-up by an armed gang outside a shop at Bryanstown, Drogheda. The group stole the security van and left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Dublin Gang Leader Flees Ireland After Grenade Attack
A notorious Dublin gang leader has fled the country after a hand grenade was thrown into his house. During the attack on Saturday morning, a red Fiat Punto pulled up to the house and a male ran to the front door, threw a rock through the window breaking the glass, followed by the grenade.

Series Of Raids Carried Out Across Dublin
A series of raids have been carried out across Dublin in an operation led by the Criminal Assets Bureau. The operation was targeting the assets of criminal gangs currently believed to be involved in an ongoing fued. Before 7am on Wednesday morning raids were carried out at 12 homes and six commercial premises.
