Arrests Follow Dublin Drugs Seizure

Two men have been arrested in connection with the seizure of a quantity of drugs in Dublin over the last two days.

Gardai arrested the two men, 60 and 40 years-old, and seized a quantity of drugs in the operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Dublin area. According to a Gardaí spokesman, a van was stopped on Tuesday in the Arran Quay area of Dublin City centre.

Gardai seized 200 kgs of what is believed to cannabis resin, which is believed to be worth approximately €1.4 million. The driver of the van, a 60-year-old man, was arrested and is detained at The Bridewell Garda Station under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

At 10.00pm yesterday, as part of a follow up operation, Gardai searched a premises at an industrial estate near Rathcoole. A further quantity of cannabis was recovered. Gardaí said that subject to analysis the street value of the seizure is estimated to be €400,000. A 40-year-old man was arrested at the scene. He is detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act at Clondalkin Garda Station.

Gardaí believe they have disrupted the activities of a major west Dublin crime gang and further arrests are expected.

Arrests Made After €400,000 Cannabis Seizure
Garda in Co Galway have arrested two men following the seizure of cannabis with an estimate value of €400,000. Officers from the National Drugs Unit carried out a search of a private residence in Tuam, Co Galway, at around 17:00 on Tuesday, uncovering 20kg of the drug. Two men, aged 49 and 41, were arrested at the scene.

Three Arrested Following Drugs Find In Dublin
Three people have been arrested after cocaine worth €270,000 was seized from a house in Dublin. Gardai raided a property on St. Mark's Avenue in Clondalkin at around 9pm on Tuesday night. A woman, 25, and two men, aged 26 and 53, were arrested at the scene. They are being detained at Ronanstown Garda Station and Lucan Garda Station.

A man and woman have been arrested following the discovery of drugs worth an estimated €135,000 in Dublin. As part of an intelligence led operation, Gardaí attached to Crumlin and Sundrive Garda Stations searched two properties in Crumlin and Drimnagh, Dublin 12 yesterday, Thursday 05 December.

Arrests Follow Dublin Drugs And Arms Seizure
A man and a woman have been arrested after a search in Dublin recovered a quantity of drugs and a loaded weapon. The planned operation, carried out by Gardaí in Finglas, culminated in a search of a house in the Casement area of West Finglas in Dublin at approximately 1pm on Thursday.
