Three Hurt In Dublin Shooting

Three people have been wounded in a shooting attack in County Dublin last night.

Gardaí are investigating the incident, which occurred in the north County Dublin town of Balbriggan last night.

During the attack, two masked men discharged a shotgun outside a house at Pinewood Green Road at around 8.40pm.

Gardaí say two men wearing balaclavas and armed with a shotgun rang the doorbell and fired two shots before escaping in a car.

Two women - one her her 30s, the other in her 40s - and a man in his 20s were wounded in the attack.

Gardaí said the women were slightly injured and the man was more seriously hurt but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

All three were taken to Beaumont Hospital, where they are being treated for their injuries.

Gardaí say three children and a fourth adult were in the house at the time.

Meanwhile, Gardaí have also revealed they are investigating an incident in which a man received stab wounds to the head.

It happened at a flat in Ballymun at around 11.30pm. The man's injuries are not thought to be serious.

Cocaine And Cannabis Seized In Co Kildare
Cocaine and cannabis herb worth an estimated €34,000 has been seized in Moone, Co Kildare. As part of a planned search of a premises at Lower Belan, garda uncovered €14,000 worth of cocaine and €20,000 worth of cannabis, shortly before midnight on Sunday, 12 June.

Cyclist Killed In Motorway Crash
A cyclist has been killed after being struck by a car on the M1 motorway. The incident happened at around 5pm on Sunday, between junctions three and four of the M1, near Swords, Co Dublin. It is understood the victim, a man aged 50, was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The coroner has been notified.

Three Arrested In Cork Shooting Investigation
Gardaí in Cork have arrested three men in connection with a shooting in the city on Monday night. According to gardaí a man aged in his 20s was shot a number of times by a man on a motorbike. The victim is being treated at Mercy University Hospital. Gardí have appealed for witnesses to the shooting, or any one with any information, to contact them.
