Robinson 'Wants More' On North's Devolution

Stormont First Minister Peter Robinson has said that he is looking for further 'clarification' from Prime Minister Gordon Brown about funding for the devolution of responsibility for policing and justice.

Sinn Féin have accepted the deal but the DUP wants to go further.

Mr Brown is now to consider showing the budget for the devolution of policing and justice to the Northern Ireland Assembly.

The news comes as he is about to meet the First and Deputy First Ministers in Downing Street later today to continue talks about the financial settlement, believed to be about £800m.

The meeting between Mr Brown, Martin McGuinness and Peter Robinson will be the fifth in ten days.

The politicians spent three hours on Tuesday night going through the proposed policing and justice budget.

While the details have satisfied Sinn Féin, First Minister Peter Robinson said there were still a number of financial details that needed to be explained.
