Selfridge Engineering is a family-operated engineering and manufacturing business based near Maghera, supplying farm buildings, industrial buildings, roof and wall cladding, structural steel and building components throughout Northern Ireland, Ireland and Scotland. Established in 1968, the company has decades of experience supporting farmers, builders, contractors and industrial customers with practical, made-to-measure solutions.
Production is carried out in-house at the company's manufacturing facility, allowing Selfridge Engineering to control quality, respond quickly and tailor materials to the requirements of each project. Customers can purchase individual components or source the main elements required for a complete agricultural or industrial building from one supplier.
Farm & Agricultural Buildings
Selfridge Engineering supplies farm and agricultural buildings designed around the needs of modern farming. Complete kit-form buildings can include structural steel, roof and side purlins, roof and wall cladding, gutters, doors, bolts and fixings, reducing the need to source components from several different suppliers.
Solutions can be tailored for livestock housing, dairy units, sheds, grain stores and other agricultural uses, with components manufactured to suit the size, layout and requirements of the project. Building materials can be delivered directly to site ready for erection.
Roof & Wall Cladding
The company manufactures roof and wall cladding in corrugated, box profile and mini-box profiles. Sheets are produced to order and are suitable for agricultural, industrial and commercial buildings as well as re-cladding projects where existing roofing or wall sheets need replaced.
Cladding is available in different grades, gauges and finishes, with options including anti-condensation fleece to help control dripping and ventilated wall cladding for animal housing and other buildings where airflow is important. Corrugated sheets can also be rolled to a specific radius for curved-roof applications.
Structural Steel & Purlins
Selfridge Engineering manufactures and supplies structural steel for agricultural, industrial, commercial and residential building projects. Bespoke steelwork can be produced to suit individual requirements, supported by in-house fabrication and manufacturing capability.
The range also includes roof and side purlins, eaves beams, brackets and associated components used in steel-framed buildings. Selfridge Engineering is approved to manufacture structural steelwork to Execution Class 2, providing customers with reassurance on quality and manufacturing standards.
Industrial Buildings & Building Components
Alongside its agricultural work, Selfridge Engineering supplies industrial buildings and structural components for factories, workshops, storage facilities and other commercial applications. Customers can source complete building kits or individual products including cladding, steelwork, purlins, gutters, doors, fixings and other building materials.
CNC Fabrication & Engineering
The Maghera manufacturing facility is equipped for CNC metal fabrication and subcontract engineering work. Services include CNC metal folding, CNC punching, rolling of plate and steel sections and welding, allowing the business to produce accurate components for its own building systems as well as work for other customers.
Serving Northern Ireland, Ireland & Scotland
Based at 94 Mullagh Road, Maghera, Selfridge Engineering is centrally positioned for customers throughout Northern Ireland and also supplies into the Republic of Ireland and Scotland.
